Ingredients
3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1¼ cups)
½ cup melted butter (unsalted or salted)
¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
1 large egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
1½ cups all-purpose flour
Optional: ½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
Stir in the melted butter, followed by the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla.
Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, then stir to combine.
Add the flour and mix gently until just incorporated — don’t overmix.
Fold in optional nuts or chocolate chips if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
